Culture Days – 30 Day Celebration of Arts & Culture

Take part in Culture Days, a national celebration of Arts and Culture that runs September 24 to October 24th. The Arts Council of the North Okanagan has set up a local Hub to help you find events near you.

Participate in art workshops, attend demonstrations, explore art exhibits, exchange works of art, and make your mark on a community art project. Learn about Vernon's history and local culture through heritage exhibits, film, and workshops and engage in activities that support truth and reconciliation.

Activities and events take place at various locations over 30 days.  All events are free, or pay as you may. ACNO's Cultural hub partners include the Vernon Community Arts Centre, the Greater Vernon Museum & Archives, Gallery Vertigo, the Vernon Public Art Gallery, and the Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre.

This year's theme is Re-Imagine.  With a global pandemic impacting our creative community, we're grateful that people recognize how important the arts are to them.  The arts connect us, strengthen our community, and support our overall wellbeing. Our Arts in Action hub is a way to reconnect, re-engage and continue dialogue within a larger community on the importance of arts and culture.
