TONAC: Thompson Okanagan Network of Art Councils

ACNO’s COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

The ACNO is actively involved in the following community development initiatives, and is always open to discussing new ideas that support Greater Vernon:

Tourism Commission

Linking arts and culture to economic development

Innovation Centre Makers Space

Working with community agencies and groups to examine the feasibility of developing an Innovation Centre and Makers Space in the City of Vernon

Implementation Advisory Team

A group of arts and culture lead organizations that report to the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee and drive the initiatives laid out in the Greater Vernon Cultural Plan

Share-ED

Gives managers and executive directors of not-for-profit organizations the tools and strategies they need to succeed. By coming together and meeting for discussions and guest presentations, members of SharED share best practices for strategic planning, finances, human resources, marketing and more.

Greater Vernon Cultural Centre

The Arts Council plays a key role in the development of the Cultural Centre to be built in downtown Vernon
