Self Help by Norm Foster, Directed by Adele Kuyek: There’s a stiff in the study.  A reporter’s looking for dirt in the hall.  A detective is looking for a missing gardener.  The maid is in major need of Self Help.  A smart-mouthed agent is suspicious that something is amiss. Self-help gurus Cindy and Hal Savage’s perfect life has fallen apart. What to do? Hide the body! This farce is a hilarious comedy, perfect for a fun, laugh filled night out!

Mini Artists – Artists Inspired by Storytelling

Join the VPAG on the last Monday of every month for a diverse exploration of art-making materials and art processes through age-appropriate art activities. This month we will start our session off with a quick tour of Hidden Spirits, an exhibition of paintings by Okanagan Sylix artist Coralee Miller. Inspired by her artistic process and her beautiful artworks on display, we will discuss the nature of storytelling and get our hands messy by using materials to create artworks inspired by stories shared.

Seed by Seed Art Show

Gallery Vertigo 2901 - 30 Avenue, Vernon, British Columbia, Canada

Due to popular demand, Gallery Vertigo is proud to extend this show that presents the results of the collaborative efforts of over 25 local artists in an installation entitled Seed by Seed. Artists were invited to repurpose satellite dishes destined for the landfill and turn them into works of art representing the vibrancy, resilience, and light of the Sunflower.  The artists, using the medium of their choice, displayed their sunflowers in a variety of ways, which has adorned the walls of the gallery with the hope of renewal, strength, and sunshine.  Gallery Hours, Tuesday to Saturday, noon to 4:00pm.

Okanagan Woodcarvers – Weekly Group

Vernon Community Arts Centre 2704A Highway 6, Vernon, British Columbia, Canada

Meet the Okanagan Woodcarvers! Established in 1995, the North Okanagan Woodcarvers are made up of a group of over 40 local carving enthusiasts. The Carver’s skills range from beginner to advanced, and they meet regularly to share ideas, learn from one another, and socialize in a relaxed and casual setting.

Meetings occur every Tuesday between 1:00 and 4:00pm at the Vernon Community Arts Centre, from January to May, and September to November.
