The World is Our Stage: Exhibit Opening

Celebrate Armstrong's iconic Caravan Farm Theatre, one of the world’s most esteemed outdoor theatre companies. View the opening of an exhibit at the Vernon Museum of original, hand-crafted masks and other set pieces. Then watch a special viewing of Niall McNeil’s documentary film "The Originals." Filmed on location at the Caravan Farm Theatre in 2021, and featuring interviews from Caravan Farm Theatre alumni spanning four decades, "The Originals" is an artist’s ode to his creative home.

The exhibit will be on display throughout all of Culture Days, September 24 to October 24, 2021.

Youth Focus – SPOTLIGHT’s FOCUS OnSTAGE Concert Series

The FOCUS Youth OnSTAGE Concert features three acts from VDPACS inaugural FOCUS Online Series on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021, at 7:30pm.  Featuring internet sensation and singer- songwriter Justin Moore, funk-blues duo Jake O’Brien and Sedonia Borden and three piece rockabilly band the Dixie Fried Hep Katz. “We are building on the great connections made with emerging artists during the FOCUS Online Series. This performance is a first step in offering platforms to young local artists throughout the season,” says Artistic Director, Erin Kennedy. Click on event for more details.

Nick Cote’s exhibit derives from stream of consciousness drawing, and has mental health undertones. Using surrealism and human anatomy, he hopes his art lifts the stigma of mental illness, breaks down barriers, and speaks for those who cannot speak for themselves. This is Mr. Cote’s first exhibit. 

The show runs from October 5 to 30th, with an Open House Reception on October 9th from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4:00pm.
