On exhibition in the main gallery of the Vernon Public Art Gallery is Kelsey Stephenson’s flux, a print-based installation that examines the impact that place has on memory. Flux looks at the impressions that people create on the landscape through the lens of water, erosion, and shifts in the environment and features printed fabric panels accompanied by sound elements from the Alberta watershed. Exhibition runs from July 23 until Sept. 30.

The Okanagan Artists of Canada Society will be hanging their artwork down the opening aisle of the Village Green Shopping Centre starting October 1. The colourful and varied paintings from more than 40 local talents will greet shoppers until mid-November. The theme of this show is Three Cheers for 75 Years to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the group. This will in fact be two shows in one as many of the paintings will be changed up on October 22.
