VERNON, BC — After a brief hiatus, the Museum & Archives of Vernon (MAV), in partnership with the Vernon Branch of the Okanagan Historical Society (OHS), is excited to announce the return of its popular annual Vernon calendar.

The 2025 calendar, “Vernon, BC: A Century Ago,” features captivating archival photographs from 1925 and selected passages from OHS Reports.

“Our calendar used to be a cherished yearly feature for the community, and we’re thrilled to bring it back after several years, especially with the OHS as a partner this time,” said Gwyneth Evans, Archives Manager at the MAV. “This edition offers a glimpse into Vernon’s past 100 years ago, making it a unique gift for history lovers and locals alike.”

Calendars will be available for pick-up in December 2024, just in time for the holiday season. Proceeds will support both the Museum & Archives of Vernon and the Okanagan Historical Society in their efforts to preserve and share the region’s history.

“This is an especially important Vernon calendar for the Okanagan Historical Society, as it marks the organization’s 100th year. And what a way to celebrate!” added Evans.

Pre-ordering will help cover production costs, and limited copies will also be available for purchase later this year and into 2025. The calendar will feature a twin loop coil, and cardstock pages.

The Vernon calendar is available for pre-order now for $20 at the following link: https://greatervernonmuseum.square.site/product/2025-mav-ohs-calendar-pre-order/276?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false.
