Join us on Saturday, October 28th at 8:00 PM at the Vernon Public Art Gallery for a night of frightful fun and entertainment. This Art After Dark event is not for the faint-hearted!

Dress to impress in your most creative and terrifying costumes, as we'll be awarding prizes for the best dressed! Whether you're a Barbie, a Ken, or an Allen this is your chance to show off your Halloween spirit. The costume contest will be run by VPAG partners in crime, Sauve Boutique: who has all your costume needs covered! Take a pop into their shop for the best vintage, original pieces that are sure to complete your Halloween look!

Take a look into your future with a tarot card reading by Pranic Forest, or create an original artwork inspired by the current exhibitions on view at the VPAG.

Get ready to dance the night away to the funky, groovy beats provided by DJ Covenant Lion!

This exhibition draws on multiple bodies of text-based art spanning over three decades of the artist's career. in response to the themes of the exhibition, we will be making a collage journal.

Each third Thursday of the month, students will bring in a piece of art that is in process or complete, and receive a open discussion critique on their work by the group. Each critique session will also have a guest host who works within the art industry to speak about their experiences and offer their own critiques of the students artworks.

Each session will begin with a presentation by an established guest artist. Following the presentation, the guest artist will lead a workshop inspired by their practice. After the workshop, students are invited to share their completed or in process artwork(s) with the group for a critique session.

Crit Club members will also have an opportunity to exhibit their artwork at VPAG.
