Family Saturdays
Vernon Public Art Gallery 3228 31st Avenue, Vernon, British Columbia, CanadaJoin us on the last Saturday of each month, Family Saturdays take place with an art project suitable for both little kids and big kids. Parents/guardians are also encouraged to participate and create their own works of art. The workshop begins promptly at 1 p.m., and families are welcome to stay for the whole session, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., or to depart sooner. All materials required for the workshops are provided. To ensure a space, please pre-register online.

Sierra, our Learning and Community Engagement Curator, will begin the workshop by touring the current exhibition that is on display. Afterward, she will lead you through a hands-on art activity inspired by the artwork.

We will begin our session with a tour of the exhibition by our most recent artist-in-residence at Mackie Lake House. After our tour, we will making our very own Mackie Lake House gingerbread houses!

A Winter’s Night Painting Party

Our Valentines Prom is the perfect way to celebrate love, art, and good vibes. Get ready for an Art After Dark experience like no other! The event is sponsored by Woolley & Co, and the VPAG is excited to be partnering with Becky’s Back Door Beans to bring you some incredible local Musical talents, Norsu, and DJ BG. Enjoy a specialty free welcome drink inspired by a classic spiked punch upon entry, and get entered to win some of our fabulous door prizes.
Brennan from Pranic Forest will be on location doing specialty prom inspired caricatures. Take a classic prom photo in the photo booth, or design your very own valentine’s cards while experiencing Beautiful Parasites, the Exhibition by Tammy Salzl, an immersive installation transporting you to magical fairytale place.
Prizes for the King, Queen and everything in between will be announced during the end of the evening.
