Fibre and Fotos, by Emily Fraser

Gallery Vertigo 2901 - 30 Avenue, Vernon, British Columbia, Canada

Gallery Vertigo is proud to introduce M. Emily Fraser as their featured member for the month of February.

Emily has been a photographer all her life and encouraged to revel and wonder at all that can be found in the natural world. Colour, light, lines, shapes and all the interactions in nature fuel her wonder and delight. She loves capturing that wonder with her camera and ‘building’ art with fabric, fibre, paper, clay on their own or together. The patterns and texture found in our surroundings encourage simply “ messing about” with recycled and found fibre of all kinds. It has proven to be the perfect vehicle to create art that can suggest or representative scenes or simply inspire abstract creations.

Emily Fraser's work will be showing in Gallery Vertigo's Judith Jurica Gallery.

The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4:00pm.
