Art, Aging and the Modern Elder
Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Art Gallery 3415 Pleasant Valley Road, Armstrong, BC, CanadaThe Armstrong Spallumcheen Gallery and Museum presents Art, Aging and the Modern Elder, an exhibition focused on the joys and perhaps the challenges of being an Modern Elder in today’s culture. The 'Modern Elder' artists are a subgroup of the NOFCA (North Okanagan Federation of Canadian Artists). Their exhibit will circulate around the province in 2022 but this is your chance to see it locally.
An opening reception will be held in Armstrong on Thursday, October 28 from 6 to 8 pm. Wine and goodies will be served.
You must have a vaccine passport to attend.

Each piece is a small miniature work measuring 6 x 6 inches and will be offered for sale. Funds raised will be used to add new additional programming to next year's schedule of events. Come and get your Christmas shopping started early.
There will be an opening reception held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Refreshments will be available by donation.
Exhibition runs November 2 - 27, 2021, with regular gallery hours open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4:00pm.

The enchanted pot of pasta is overflowing because we forgot the magic spell to make it stop! Come sing and dance as we act out this fun folktale! Bring your own cushion, and be prepared to move, dance, and sing along for the 9:30 or the 11:30 a.m. performances! Presented by master educator Joe Berarducci, these concerts are the perfect activity for a Saturday morning.
Shows are approximately 40 minutes long.

Clay & Cabernet
Vernon Community Arts Centre 2704A Highway 6, Vernon, British Columbia, CanadaHead over to the Vernon Community Arts Centre on the second or fourth Friday of each month to learn some basic clay hand-building skills, enjoy a glass of wine and have a few laughs. Each week, the instructor teaches a different project to keep the class interesting for those that wish to attend more than once. No experience necessary. Projects will be glazed and fired and ready for you to pick up a few weeks after class.

This is the last meeting before Artsolutely so the five members participating in this month-long sale will be making final plans.
