The North Okanagan Chapter of the Federation of Canadian Artists (NOFCA) is a non-profit organization initially formed in the early 1990s to provide opportunity for artistic growth, development, and accreditation to visual artists of various skill levels in the North Okanagan Region.

Our Chapter has over 75 members and the boundaries for the NOFCA are north to Salmon Arm, south to Oyama, and east to Cherryville. New members are welcome from anywhere in the region.

As a community of artists our membership includes emerging artists and highly proficient professional artists. Our members meet regularly on the third Thursday of the month at the Vernon Community Arts Centre. Meetings include painting demonstrations, painting critiques and discussion on marketing strategies.

Members have the opportunity to attend several workshops each year, led by highly skilled artist educators, and are able to display and sell their paintings in FCA juried and non-juried gallery exhibitions across Canada and internationally. Members also get together for fun and to enjoy painting and learning from each other.
