“Art is when you hear a knocking from your soul and you answer.”
Vanessa Marsh took her first pottery class at North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre in Calgary, Alberta. She fell in love with clay and the focus it required to throw on the wheel.
Over the years, regardless of where Vanessa lived or worked, it was always the one thing she kept coming back to. She continues to learn and grow her skills by participating in classes and intensive workshops, as well as teaching beginner wheel classes. Originally from N.E. Saskatchewan, she is continually inspired by its bright skies and open roads, which you will see in her work.
Vanessa has been a member of the Saskatoon Potter’s Guild, the Fernie Potter’s Guild, and most recently Saskatoon Clay Works and the Vernon Community Arts Centre and the Arts Council of the North Okanagan.
