Emily Fraser is a photographer, fibre artist and beachcomber in search of the perfect combination of light, lines, texture and colour. Each piece of art is an exploration of how those elements interact and settle together to create a worthy photograph, scene or sculpture.
Emily uses new and used fibres from ties, saris, fabric, paper, yarn, embellishments and roving in her fibre art. Many pieces are finished in found and refurbished frames. Her sculptures grow from beachcombed treasures.
Each medium inspires the others and keeps Emily searching for another perspective of the world around her.
