Opus Kelowna & Arts Council of the North Okanagan Present The Rail Trail Plein Air Event – Sunday, June 12, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm
Paint outdoors & explore nature with your brush in hand!
Starting at KM 0 of the beautiful Okanagan Rail Trail in Vernon and extending into Lake Country, artists will explore the trail and seek out a spot to paint for the day. This event is free and open to all ages and abilities. Prizes will be awarded in 3 groups: Experienced Artists, Emerging Artists and People’s Choice. Bring your own art supplies and get ready for a day of plein air fun!! At the end of the day, artists will gather at the Vernon Community Arts Centre for art jurying, prizes, and some light refreshments. FREE to join.
Early registration can be done online HERE or, you can register on the day, at the Vernon Community Arts Centre, between 8:00-9:30am. Registrants will receive a detailed information package upon registration.
8:00am – 9:30am: Unregistered participants must register at Vernon Community Arts Centre
9:30am – 3:30pm: Registered artists can proceed to the Rail Trail and choose their spot to paint
3:30pm – 5:30pm: Jurying, Prizes, and Artist Mingle, at Vernon Community Arts Centre, 2704a Hwy 6 in Polson Park
