The Vernon Public Art Gallery is opening with four simultaneous new exhibitions on January 20th 2022
Featuring a selection of works from UBCO’s Public Collection: Ramble On. Consisting of over 700 pieces of Canadian and international art and artifacts; Sylix/Okanagan artist Coral Miller’s: Hidden Spirits. Works that mean to teach integral cultural beliefs of responsibility, bravery, forgiveness and transformation; Steve Scott’s: From the Void. Comprised of Illustrations heavily influenced by the ancient arts and myths, as well as science fiction stories. And last but not least, the KAMA? Collective: Unsettle the Settler: Dismantling Systemic Oppression. Composed of Okanagan Nation’s established and emerging artists who have joined together to advocate aboriginal interdisciplinary and multimedia arts development promotion.
