North Okanagan Celebrates Culture Days

September 20 - October 13

FREE and BY-DONATION

The Arts Council of the North Okanagan (ACNO) is spearheading preparations for the 15th annual nationwide celebration of Culture Days, Sept. 20 to Oct. 13.

More than 40 free and by-donation events take place at venues and studios across the North Okanagan. Participating organizations this year include the Vernon Community Arts Centre, Caetani Centre, Okanagan Regional Library Vernon branch, Museum and Archives of Greater Vernon, Vernon Public Art Gallery, Cardiff Miller Art Warehouse, Headbones Gallery, First Friday Studio Art Stroll, and others.

Highlighting the lineup is the second annual Sundog Festival of Arts and Culture, igniting the festivities with a vibrant kick-off party in Vernon’s Polson Park, Sept. 20 and 21.

Recognized as a creative epicenter, Greater Vernon achieved a remarkable fourth place nationwide in the Top Participating Community List for hosting Culture Days events in 2023.

Since its inception in 2009, Culture Days has blossomed into a significant cultural movement, offering thousands of free, interactive activities nationwide that cater to all ages and backgrounds.

Featuring a myriad of live performances, exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations, and interactive experiences, Culture Days provides a platform for artists, creators, and cultural organizations to showcase their craft, connect with audiences, and foster cultural engagement.
