Museum & Archives of Greater Vernon Annual General Meeting

Please join the Museum & Archives of Greater Vernon for the Society’s Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 6:30-7:30 PM PST.

The purpose of the AGM is to give members a report on our society’s activities and finances for the previous year, and to formally elect board members to serve for the coming year. This meeting is also being held to comply with the requirement to present the previous year’s financial statements in a timely manner.

We will have a short formal meeting to present the reports and the financials and have an election for new Board members who have already been through the selection process.  We’re asking for one hour of your time so that we can comply with the legal requirements of the Society Act of British Columbia.

If you are interested in becoming a board member or serving on a Committee, please contact the Board at [email protected].

We will then ensure that the director application is sent to you immediately. We will then set up a meeting with our selection committee as soon as possible.  All applications must reach the Board by noon on June 3, 2024 at the latest.

All reports as well as a video conference link/connection will be provided to members closer to the meeting date. Doors open at 6 p.m. for those attending in person.

All are welcome to attend the AGM; however, per the B.C. Societies Act, only members in good standing are able to make, second, or vote on motions. To verify you are a member in good standing, or to complete a membership application, please email [email protected].
