Heartbeats: Indigenous Art and Story from the Interior

On Saturday, July 16th, the Museum & Archives of Vernon will bring together three extraordinary Indigenous artists and storytellers for readings, talks and films as follows:
10am – Shayla Raine: The Way Creator Sees You (Reading)
1pm – Mariel Belanger: Not The Indian Princess You Expected & Illegal: Let Us Live (Talk/Short Film)
2pm – Kim Senklip Harvey: Break Horizons: A Rocking Indigenous Justice Ceremony (Feature Film)
3:15 – Artist Panel Discussion
Beadwork by Angela La Londe, an Indigenous artist from OKIB, creating handmade beaded earrings and pins will also be available for purchase.
