Family Saturdays – Exploring Music Through Art
Family Saturdays take place on the last Saturday of each month with an art project suitable for little kids and big kids alike. Parents/guardians are encouraged to participate and create their own piece of art as well. The workshop starts promptly at 1 p.m each month and families are welcome to stay the entire session from 1 p.m to 3:30 p.m or leave earlier. All materials for the workshops are supplied and the workshop will be running at 50% capacity in order to maintain proper social distancing and sanitation protocols. EXPLORING MUSIC THROUGH ART
INSPIRED BY THE SOUNDS SUSPICIOUS EXHIBITION
Sounds Suspicious is a music collective based out of the Central Okanagan. We will start our workshop off with a tour of their exhibition and talk about and listen to some of the music present in the exhibition. We will then experiment with different art materials while listening to the varying music created by the artists to create unique artworks that activate our senses!
• $5/members • $9/non-members
Kelsie, our Learning and Community Engagement Curator will start the workshop off by touring the current exhibition that is on display. She will then walk you through a hands-on art activity inspired by the artwork.
