Family Saturdays – Art Inspired By Storytelling
This month we will start our session off with a quick tour of Hidden Spirits, an exhibition of paintings by Okanagan Sylix artist Coralee Miller. Inspired by her artistic process and her beautiful artworks on display, we will discuss the nature of storytelling and get our hands messy by using materials to create artworks inspired by stories shared.
Family Saturdays take place on the last Saturday of each month with an art project suitable for little kids and big kids alike. Parents/guardians are encouraged to participate and create their own piece of art as well. The workshop starts promptly at 1 p.m each month and families are welcome to stay the entire session from 1 p.m to 3:30 p.m or leave earlier. All materials for the workshops are supplied and the workshop will be running at 50% capacity in order to maintain proper social distancing and sanitation protocols. Please pre-register online to guarantee a spot.
