The Vernon Rock and Mineral Club is excited to announce a super fun event for the club’s pebble pups AKA junior rockhounds: an Easter AGATE Hunt on Saturday April 16th at 7:45am. Participation is open to our 2022 VLMC paid junior members (must have supervising parent/ guardian).

What: Our amazing Treasurer Robbin has obtained and filled 240 coloured eggs and 10 golden eggs with special rocks inside that will be hidden at a field trip site for the junior hounds to hunt for. It is a field trip site, so there is some other “light” rockhounding there to do for the non-juniors.

When: Saturday April 16th meet at 7:45am

Bring: Have a basket or bucket for your junior hound to collect THEIR 😜 eggs in, perhaps bring a 3 pronged rake, spray bottle, water, snacks (dress for the weather).

Where: Meet at usual Vernon Walmart Parking Lot Field Trip Meet-Up Location (we leave at 8am sharp, so come early for registration and instruction).
