The Vernon Public Art Gallery invites you to an Artist Talk with Derek Besant.

Derek was born in Canada, and lives and works in Southern Alberta. He worked as the Exhibitions Designer for the opening of the Glenbow Museum, was a professor in Fine Arts at Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary. His early focus on Geophysics led to studies in Fine Arts.  Join us April 6th to hear more about Derek’s current and upcoming artwork, processes, and inspirations.

Every week on Tuesday and/or Thursday at 7:00 PM PST during the OPT exhibition from March 18th – May 19th the VPAG will be hosting live artist talks with a select number of artists who will be exhibiting in the OPT 2021. Join us via zoom for a short 30-minute talk to hear from the artists about their current printmaking work, processes and inspiration. The artists will be joining us from their home countries from around the world. There will be a short question period at the end of each talk.
