Gallery Vertigo presents Donna Mair, as their Featured Member of the Month. Donna is an avid photographer and her work will be showing through the month of May in Veritgo’s Judith Jurica Gallery.

When asked to tell us about herself, Donna replied, “I have often been described as contrary and I think my photography reflects that. I am drawn to contrasts – contrasts in color, pattern, subject matter. I like stark images as much as complex patterns.”

Donna states her goal as an artist is to draw the viewer in, to see things from a new perspective – whether those things are a black & white textural concrete high-rise in downtown Vancouver, or a nubby old majestic red cedar in a Provincial park. “There can be art in unexpected places.”

Donna’s exhibit runs May 4-29, with gallery hours noon to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
