Cindy Bouthillier has worked for many years as Commercial and Residential Decorative Artist and as a Visual Merchandiser. While she is new to the Art of Felting, her love for textile art goes back to her early years when sewing and doing needle art where her favorite pastimes.

Cindy has discovered that felt making provides the perfect canvas to explore color and texture and allows for the layered touches of whimsy and exuberant embellishment that she has employed throughout the many mediums she has worked in. Leaves, vines, and flowers are recurring themes in her designs of wearable art and home decor.

She hand-dyes her fibres and fabrics and in so doing, is able to create her art using signature colors that are unique and well suited to her designs. Most recently Cindy has incorporated eco-dying in to her work.
