The purpose of the OSA is to bring Canadian, International, independent and second run films to the community of Vernon. We are endeavouring to preserve the historic Towne Cinema as an inclusive arts venue that supports downtown Vernon and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to build and support the creative community by providing films, a performance space and educational bursaries.

Our objectives align perfectly with the ACNOs of providing, promoting and supporting all aspects of Arts and Culture activities in Vernon and surrounding areas. Some of our objectives are to provide opportunities for artists to perform, host events, for example, film festivals, provide educational assistance through Fine Arts bursaries and to assist with vitalization of the downtown core of Vernon.
