Family Saturdays – Environmental Artworks
Family Saturdays take place on the last Saturday of each month with an art project suitable for little kids and big kids alike. Parents/guardians are encouraged to participate and create their own piece of art as well. The workshop starts promptly at 1 p.m each month and families are welcome to stay the entire session from 1 p.m to 3:30 p.m or leave earlier. All materials for the workshops are supplied and the workshop will be running at 50% capacity in order to maintain proper social distancing and sanitation protocols. Please pre-register online to guarantee a spot.
INSPIRED BY MARSHA KENNEDY
This month we will start our session off with a quick tour of Embodied Ecologies, a retrospective exhibition of artworks by artist Marsha Kennedy. Inspired by the beautiful artworks on display and the environmental themes present in her work, we will get our hands messy by experimenting with mixed media materials to create artworks on canvas board.
• $5/members • $9/non-members
Kelsie, our Learning and Community Engagement Curator will start the workshop off by touring the current exhibition that is on display. She will then walk you through a hands-on art activity inspired by the artwork.
