Art Book Activity for Ages 5 to10
Community Agencies Seek Diverse Child Artists for Anti-Racism Book
Vernon and District Immigrant and Community Services Society (VDICSS) in partnership with The Literacy Society of the North Okanagan are inviting children 5 to 10 years old to contribute to a community art book celebrating the diverse children within the greater Vernon area.
Children are invited to join us for an afternoon of art creation, games, and snacks! The art will then be compiled and published into a community book entitled “Who are the Children in our Community?” for all to see. No previous art experience necessary. Children of all backgrounds and abilities are encouraged to participate. This project is made possible through the generous support of the Canadian Race Relations Foundation Anti-Racism Fund.
Saturday, May 7th or Saturday, May 14th from 1pm – 3pm at The Literacy Society – 4705A 29th Street in Vernon
Please email [email protected] to register your child/ren for one of the Saturday sessions.
