Three Cheers for 75 Years – Art Show & Sale

The Okanagan Artists of Canada Society will be hanging their artwork down the opening aisle of the Village Green Shopping Centre starting October 1. The colourful and varied paintings from more than 40 local talents will greet shoppers until mid-November. The theme of this show is Three Cheers for 75 Years to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the group. This will in fact be two shows in one as many of the paintings will be changed up on October 22. The Repeatable Image – VPAG Exhibition by UBCO Printmaking Students

Vernon Public Art Gallery 3228 31st Avenue, Vernon

The Vernon Public Art Gallery is exhibiting works by UBC Okanagan fine arts students. Printmaking at UBCO consists of prints produced by traditional and modern methods, including relief prints, intaglio, lithography, and screenprinting. The prints cover various subject matter from questions surrounding the landscape and environmental stewardship, to the human condition, to formal abstract structures.

Exhibition runs Oct. 8 to Dec. 22.
