Call to Artists
Art Through Isolation
Submission Deadline: July 2, 2020
Exhibit your art in the Vernon Community Arts Centre Gallery! We invite all current members to submit their original artwork for our upcoming show, Art Through Isolation. These can be pieces created as part of the Vernon Arts Challenge, or, anything you created between March 15 and present. All mediums, styles, and subjects are welcome, and as usual we accept 2D and 3D pieces. Artist Entry forms available at front desk, or can be downloaded HERE.
Exhibit Dates: July 4 to 20
Drop off: Thurs, July 2 | Call to schedule a time between 9:30am-4:30pm
Pick up: Tues, July 21 | Call to schedule a time between 9:30am-4:30pm
Exhibitor must hold a current membership with the Arts Council of the North Okanagan, as the ACNO operates the Vernon Community Arts Centre. Wall pieces must be ready to hang (ie. proper wire attached). All work must be original. If you wish to put your work up for sale, a 25% commission will be charged on all sold works. As our gallery space is limited, members cannot submit more than 3 pieces of work. One or two pieces is ideal. A single wall piece may not exceed 36″ in diameter. CeramAir Artist in Residence

Artist Vendors for Artsolutely

Artsolutely is the most vibrant artisans sale in the Okanagan and we’re looking for vendors for the 2020 season (December 1st to 24th). Youth Artist in Residence
Application Deadline: June 2021
Each year, the Arts Council of the North Okanagan awards one or two students a residency at the Vernon Community Arts Centre. The Youth Artist in Residence (YAR) program is open to all aspiring artists ages 16-18 living within School District 22. Selected artist(s) are provided a dedicated studio space at the Arts Centre, given access to administrative and artistic support, access to facilities and equipment, and the opportunity to host their own art exhibition/show. An honorarium to purchase materials and supplies is also generously provided by the Okanagan Artists of Canada Society.
Applications for the 2020 residency are closed due to Covid-19, so please stay tuned for details about the 2021 season.
