ACNO Membership

Members are the heart of the Arts Council of the North Okanagan (ACNO).  We serve the residents of the North Okanagan Regional District, focusing mainly on the Greater Vernon Area.  The ACNO needs your support in order to provide programs and services that are critical to the vitality of providing, promoting and supporting all aspects of arts and cultural activities in our community.  Every contribution makes a difference no matter what the amount.

Here’s why:

•    Your membership is your voice.  Each year we must provide evidence to policy makers in all levels of government that art and culture are worthy of local, provincial and federal support.  Your membership adds your voice to our efforts and helps demonstrate that the arts matter in the North Okanagan.

•    With every dollar you donate, you are not only demonstrating your support but are directly supporting arts education, services and arts events presented to the community.  In recent years, member donations have helped fund building/studio renovations and arts education programs including a youth bursary program (making it possible for several youths to attend a summer arts camp free).

•    The more you give, the more we can give back.  Your contributions directly affect our ability to leverage additional funding that supports arts education, activities, events and services to the North Okanagan arts community.
However; the most important benefit of membership is knowing that your contribution supports ACNO vision and goals to provide and support all creative and artistic opportunities for all to enjoy.

PLANNED GIVING

Planned Giving is often described as “leaving a legacy” because Planned Gifts are created to make an impact for future generations.  It is surprisingly easy to arrange a planned gift.  Though more sophisticated gifts will require more care, many methods are quite straightforward.  Whatever the method, you can plan your gift to maximize your objectives.

A Planned Gift can:
-give you a tax advantage (often the tax benefits are quite substantial)
-fit appropriately with your estate plans and concerns for heirs
-compliment your lifestyle goals
-match your wish to leave a legacy to the cause you care about.

Online donations and Planned Gifts to the Arts Council of the North Okanagan can be made easily and securely through Canada Helps at www.canadahelps.org
