Okanagan Artists of Canada (OAC), formerly Okanagan Artist’s League is a group of artists residing in Vernon and surrounding area in beautiful Okanagan valley in central British Columbia, Canada. With its moderate climate and long growing season, the Okanagan Valley boasts numerous vineyards, stunning vistas and landscapes, sparkling lakes and flaming sunsets, providing endless subject matter to inspire and spark the creative juices of any artist. The OAC which began as the Vernon Art Association, established and ran the Topham-Brown Gallery before it became the Vernon Public Art Gallery. The OAC is one of the oldest art associations in British Columbia and many of its alumni have become well known Canadian artists. OAC members produce art in a variety of mediums: acrylics, oils, watercolours, pastels, pencil, and more. The artistic depth and breadth of these artists is well documented within the Okanagan Valley and their art is on display annually in the Vernon area.
